Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated Oct 30, 2026

This policy protects patients, laboratories and the integrity of the network. It applies to every account and to every downstream user of an integration built on progmedlab.

1. Prohibited testing purposes

No ordering of tests without valid informed consent, or on behalf of an individual who has not consented and lacks a lawful basis.

No use of results for employment screening, insurance underwriting or eligibility, immigration decisions, or any purpose that would create unlawful discrimination.

No ordering of restricted assays without the licences required in the relevant jurisdiction, and no attempts to circumvent order validation.

2. Data and privacy

Do not submit data you have no right to submit, including identifiers obtained by scraping or purchased from third parties without a lawful basis.

Do not attempt to re-identify de-identified data, correlate results across individuals to build profiles, or export PHI to systems without a BAA and equivalent safeguards.

3. Platform integrity

No probing, scanning or load testing against production endpoints without written approval. No attempts to bypass rate limits, idempotency controls or authentication.

No reselling of raw API access as a white-label laboratory without a reseller agreement. Building a product on top of the API is expressly allowed.

4. Clinical claims

You may not market a progmedlab test as diagnosing or ruling out a condition, and may not present screening results as a diagnosis. Required disclaimer text must appear wherever results are displayed to end users.

Comparative or superiority claims about laboratory accuracy must be supported by published validation data.

5. Enforcement

Violations may result in immediate suspension of API access, cancellation of pending orders, and termination of the agreement. Unlawful activity is reported to the relevant authority.
