What does "programmable medical lab" actually mean?
It means the lab is reachable through software, not through a fax and a phone call. You create an order with a REST call, we dispatch a collection kit or schedule a draw, the sample runs in a CLIA-certified partner lab, and results come back to your webhook as LOINC-coded JSON with reference ranges and a signed PDF report.
Are the laboratories CLIA-certified?
Yes. Every laboratory in the network holds a current CLIA certificate, and the majority are additionally CAP-accredited. The specific performing lab is recorded on each result so your audit trail is complete.
Can I order tests for patients in the United States?
Yes, with the right clinical wrapper. Consumer-initiated testing in the US requires an ordering clinician or a patient-authorized direct-access model depending on the state. We support both: bring your own clinician network, or use our clinical review partners.
How do results come back?
Three formats, all from the same order: a signed webhook event, a LOINC-coded JSON payload with reference ranges and abnormal flags, and a PDF report. FHIR DiagnosticReport export is available on the platform plan.
What does it cost?
You pay per test. Sandbox keys are free, and pricing in production starts at the listed catalog price with volume tiers from 500 tests per month. There is no setup fee and no per-seat licence.
